Some bad planning....

and I had to take the regular steamboat into town for some work today.

Here she comes, the old beauty, to pick us up for a 2 hrs 20 min ride. She stops at many small jetties on her way into Stockholm.
This is my time for holiday and I would have preferred to stay on the island sharing my jetty with the seagulls.......
instead I had brought the camera along as I knew from experience, what would come along the shore later on .....and I waited in the rain well prepared with a steady hand.

and here it shows up just for a few seconds......Östanå Castle.....from the seaside.

Built in 1791 by the wellknown french architect Jean-Louis Deprez, who was called upon to decorate at the court of King Gustav III. He was also great at drawing.

My addiction for old architecture is perhaps wellknown to you readers by now, but there is always much more to deploy with this interest, it never seems to stop once you get started......
this is the staircase of granite, leading up to the castle, this time of the year it's simply magic!

I'm acting like a hen peeking over the hedge....love the arched tall doors leading to the terrace.
I can promise it is worth it, peeking I mean! They really knew how to build houses......

A day full of wonderful impressions, a great day after all.

I'm back on the island and the seagulls and my swetheart.
I have a mission for him tomorrow, I tell you more later.

Love
Ia

Oh dear!
i am curious about the mission for S. Please let me know ASAP!

With love,
Ingrid

Hej!

Kram Mariette
